DC Animated Movie Universe Comes to an End

New Shared Continuity Launched

The DC Animated Movie Universe (DCAMU) has officially come to an end. Starting in 2013, the DCAMU consisted of 16 interconnected films that told a cohesive story. However, beginning with the release of Justice League Dark: Apokolips War in 2020, the DCAMU has been slowly winding down.

While the DCAMU is no more, a new shared continuity has been launched within DC's home video division. This new continuity will begin with the upcoming film Superman: Man of Tomorrow, which is set to be released in 2023. No details have been released yet about what other films will be part of this new continuity, but it is expected to include a mix of popular DC characters and new stories.
